Hi, there.
I went cycling around Kiyoizu temple and Nanzemji Area, in order to introduce the cycling roads to our precious customers.
Both Kiyomizu temple and Nanzenji are famous places in Kyoto.
On the way to these places, I found some good spots, which is not well known but worth dropping by.
This time, I would like to inrtoduce these places.
The first one is "Kara-Mon (Chinese Style Gate)".
This gate is located on the south of Nishi-Honguanji temple.
White rocks are spread in the main road of the gate, and the wall around the gate is painted white.
The gate itself is very large, colorful and spiritual.
I guess many people would stop to take a look , and feel it attractive.
The number of people who visit this place is never large, but this gate is very precious and called "Hidden National Tresure in Kyoto".
By bike, this spot is very easy to visit from our shop.
Next is a bamboo craft shop around Kiyomizu Temple.
Many bamboo crafts are displayed in front of the shop, like chopsticks, cute pinwheels.
These bamboo goods fit for machiya in Kyoto for sure.
The last one is a shopping street near Heian-Jingu shrine.
The name is "Furukawa-cho shopping street" .
As you see in the picture, there is a fruit and vegetable shop in the entrance.
In the shopping street, there are fish shops, massage shops, and some food shops.
The entrance of the shopping street is on the big street, Sanjo, so many cars are seen.
However, once you get into the shopping street, you would feel the very different atmosphere from the big street.
I recommend you to get off your bikes and take a walk looking around shops.
These above spots are not so far from "Rental Bicycle Shop Fuune".
I went to these spots by electric assist bike, but I didn't feel tired so much.
On my way to our shop, I went along the Kamo-River, and felt the gentle breezea of river.
The autum is a very good season for sightseeing with bikes.
I recommend that you go to the famous places in Kyoto, and also many precious spots by bike.
You might come across some very attractive spots that can not be found yet.
This is one of the good ways of Kyoto trip with bike!
